Have you checked to see if you have Missing Money lately?  By law, certain assets must be turned over to the state, so it’s important to check to see if you might have some!  Common types of unclaimed property include:  bank accounts and safe deposit box contents, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, and dividends, uncashed checks and wages, insurance policies, CD’s, trust funds, utility deposits, and escrow accounts.  Simply search by your name and state and if you find some, you can submit a claim for it!  (With proof of course!)  So if you have a little time this weekend, why not run a search?
