There are limited spots per store, so you’ll want to be sure to sign up as soon as you can if you are interested in attending!

Joann offers an in-store Just For Kids Event on the second Saturday of each month!  Coming up on Saturday, July 13th from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., kids will have a ton of fun making Felt Pennants!

Just a reminder!  Home Depot is offering a Kids Workshop on Saturday (7/6) where kids will get to build a custom toy tow truck with an operational boom!

Don’t forget to head to Michael’s on Saturday from 1-3 p.m., where kids can make Firecracker Slime!  How cute!  Do note that you will be required to purchase a jar.  I did check with my local Michael’s and they anticipate that it will be just $1.

If you’re looking for something for the kids to do on Saturday, take them to to Barnes and Noble for the Toy Story 4: Forky in Craft Buddy Day!  It’s happening at 11 a.m. and they’ll get to enjoy storytime and activities!

The 2019 Summer Movie Express runs for 9 weeks with select titles playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer.  Admission to these films during the Summer Movie Express is only $1 and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute.  Please see your local theater for program start date. 

Cineplex
Enjoy Family Favorites Saturday mornings at 11am for just $2.99!  A portion of the proceeds goes towards supporting Free The Children.

Harkins Theaters
Enjoy the Summer Movie Fun program for kids where they can enjoy a movie a week for 10 weeks, for less than $1 per film. 

Marcus Theaters
The Kids Dream Summer program kicks off June 24th where on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays at 10am you can enjoy a family friendly movie for just $3!  (You maybe be able to snag FREE tickets by visiting your local American Family Insurance agent.)  They will also have concession specials during these movies. 

Classic Cinemas
Check out the Wednesday Morning Movie Series and enjoy G and PG rated films for only $1 per person. 

Malco Theaters
Join in on the Kids Summer Film Fest on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am where kids can see a movie for just $2! 

Several local theaters also offer similar programs, so make sure you check with the cinemas in your area to see what they have!  It’s a great option for those super HOT summer days!

Read ten books and record them on your reading log (have an adult initial by the title so you get credit for reading). Once the log is complete, mail the form in and be rewarded with a special t‑shirt.

Often local libraries also host programs, so make sure you check with them to see what they have to offer!  It’s a great way to keep your child motivated to read during the summer!

LOTS of states are hosting their FREE Fishing days THIS weekend! My state included!  We’ve got plans to do some fishing…how about you?  

Fishing is one of those activities my whole family loves!  Even me!  Okay, so I admittedly will not take a fish off the hook — that’s hubby’s job!    So checkout this list of FREE fishing days by state and get a plan together!  It’s a great time to explore, venture to a new fishing spot, and take advantage of the fact that you won’t need a license!  So many of the national and state parks also do activities hand-in-hand with this event, so you might check into that as well!  It might make for a great family day or weekend trip!
