It’s officially summer and the kids are out of school!  Here’s a quick round up of all the activities kids can enjoy this summer:

Summer Movies — click the name of the theater for more details:

AMC Cinemas
Get admission to a kid-friendly movie and a KidsPack for just $4+tax, every Wednesday at 10am all summer long!  

Regal Cinemas
The 2019 Summer Movie Express runs for 9 weeks with select titles playing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer.  Admission to these films during the Summer Movie Express is only $1 and a portion of the proceeds goes to the Will Rogers Institute.  Please see your local theater for program start date. 

Cineplex
Enjoy Family Favorites Saturday mornings at 11am for just $2.99!  A portion of the proceeds goes towards supporting Free The Children.

Harkins Theaters
Enjoy the Summer Movie Fun program for kids where they can enjoy a movie a week for 10 weeks, for less than $1 per film. 

Marcus Theaters
The Kids Dream Summer program kicks off June 24th where on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays at 10am you can enjoy a family friendly movie for just $3!  (You maybe be able to snag FREE tickets by visiting your local American Family Insurance agent.)  They will also have concession specials during these movies. 

Classic Cinemas
Check out the Wednesday Morning Movie Series and enjoy G and PG rated films for only $1 per person. 

Malco Theaters
Join in on the Kids Summer Film Fest on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am where kids can see a movie for just $2! 

Several local theaters also offer similar programs, so make sure you check with the cinemas in your area to see what they have!  It’s a great option for those super HOT summer days!

Summer Reading — click the name of the program for more details:

Barnes & Noble Summer Reading
Kids in Grades 1 through 6 can read 8 books and record them in the Reading Journal.  Once they complete the journal, they can bring it into their local Barnes & Noble store and Choose a FREE book from their selection!

Half Price Books Feed Your Brain Summer Reading Program
Kids ages 14 and under can commit to reading for at least 15 minutes each day in the months of June and July to earn $5 in Half Price Books Bookworm Bucks.

TD Ameritrade Summer Reading Program
When kids read and log 10 books, $10 will be deposited in a new or existing Young Savers account!

Books-A-Million Summer Reading Program
Read any 4 books from their Summer Reading Adventure section and receive a FREE Drawstring Backpack!

Amazon Summer Reading Challenge
Read any 8 books and submit your progress at your local Amazon Books store to get a FREE Book!

Lifeway Summer Reading Program
Read six books over the course of the summer and memorize six Scripture verses to get to choose from one of nine books, plus receive a free Bible, while supplies last.  (The form won’t be available until later in the summer!)

H-E-B Buddy Summer Reading Club
Read ten books and record them on your reading log (have an adult initial by the title so you get credit for reading). Once the log is complete, mail the form in and be rewarded with a special t‑shirt.

Often local libraries also host programs, so make sure you check with them to see what they have to offer!  It’s a great way to keep your child motivated to read during the summer!

Kids Bowl Free (2 Free games daily all summer-long)

Kids Skate Free (Skating free, but skate rental may apply.)

Microsoft Summer Camp Programs (A free weekly in-store camp with activities that fits your child’s interest…from game coding to game designing and more!)

Apple Camp for Kids (Kids ages 8-12 can enjoy this free workshop held at Apple Retail Stores where they will learn to make movies or create interactive books, code robots, and more.)
